Safari  Highlights.

(1).Victoria falls- Zimbabwe

Victoria Falls is a town in western Zimbabwe and a gateway to the massive waterfall of the same name. Here, the Zambezi River plummets over a cliff and into the Boiling Pot before flowing through a series of gorges. The Devil’s Pool, a natural infinity pool, is on the edge of a sheer drop. Spanning the river is 1905 Victoria Falls Bridge. The surrounding Zambezi National Park is home to white rhinos and elephants.

(2) Chobe National  park Botswana

Chobe National Park located in northern Botswana near the vast, inland Okavango Delta. It’s known for its large herds of elephants and Cape buffaloes, which converge along the Chobe Riverfront in the dry months. Lions, antelopes and hippos inhabit the woods and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh. The floodable grasslands of the Savuti Marsh attract numerous bird species, plus migrating zebras.

The Okavango Delta in Botswana is a vast inland delta formed where the Okavango River reaches a tectonic trough at an altitude of 930–1,000 m in the central .The Okavango Delta is one of the largest freshwater wetlands in southern Africa and is home to over 1,000 species of plants, more than 480 species of birds, 130 species of mammals, and numerous species of reptiles and fish. The Okavango Delta is one of the most exclusive wilderness destinations in the world. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the backdrop to wild Africa’s grand spectacle, presenting unparalleled wilderness experiences in a serene inland delta unlike anywhere else on Earth. In the Okavango Delta, both physical factors such as climatic variability, climate change and tectonic activities and human activities such as overgrazing of rangelands, arable farming, hunting of wild animals, over-harvesting of veld products, deforestation and bushfires are rapidly transforming the ecosystem

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival to victoria falls Airport Zimbabwe

Upon arrival, you will be met by Xavier safaris representative and transferred to your hotel. Once you are done with the check-in, the driver guide will do a short brief of the tour. Have a sunset cruise in the afternoon and the remainder of the evening is spent at leisure. Dinner will be at the lodge.

Day2: Victoria falls tour(Hike)

After breakfast, you will go for a tour of Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world. This nature walk takes you through the magnificent rain forest where you are able to view cataracts, Livingstone’s statue, and a wide variety of birds and plants. This afternoon, you’ll choose extra activities to do of your choice.

Day3:Victoria Falls to Chobe National Park

At approximately 9:00 am after breakfast, you will  depart from Victoria Falls and head to Chobe National Park, located  west of Victoria Falls. It is home to the largest concentration of elephants in Africa. you will cross from Zimbabwe to Botswana through Kazungula border post then proceed to kasane in Botswana.

Day4:Chobe National Park

This morning you will have Tea and coffee are served before early morning then later you will go for a game drive within Chobe National Park. After the early morning  game drive you will return to the lodge to have have your full breakfast , then return to Chobe national park for a game drive to look for animals like lion, Zebra, Hippopotamus, Giraffe, Buffalo,Red Lechwe, hyena, elephants, leopards and cheetahs. Later in the afternoon, you will go for  a sunset cruise in the Chobe River cruising in the Chobe National Park. The trip usually starts at 3:00 pm. It’s one of the best experiences to watch the game from the boat and you will get closer to the animals.

Day5:Chobe National Park

This morning you will have full breakfast  the  then later you will go for a full day photographic game drive within Chobe National Park to look for animals that you missed seeing the previous day like Zebra, Hippopotamus, Giraffe, lion, red Lechwe, hyena, elephants, leopards. After the the game drive you will return to the lodge for dinner and a good night sleep.

Day6: Flight to Pom Pom island Okavango Delta

 Early this morning you will have breakfast, and you will check out of Chobe safari lodge and head to kasane international airport to catch your flight to pom pom  island Okavango delta, arriving in for lunch  at pompom camp. After lunch you will go for a game drive to look for animals like Zebra, blue wildebeest, red lechwe, impala and elephant are all common. Cheetah. After the game drive you will return to the camp  for dinner and a night’s sleep.

Day7: Okavango Delta

Early this morning you will have hot breakfast then head out to board a Mokoro canoe to glid through the Okavango delta for a mokoro game viewing to look for animals like Elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, hippos, antelope, leopards, hyenas, zebras and crocodiles and bird species like Bee eaters, kingfishers, squacco herons and slaty egrets are amongst some of the birds that will be seen here. It is also a perfect habitat for the Pel’s fishing owl. return to the camp for lunch and have the rest of the day to your leisure time

Day8:Okavango Delta

This morning you will have breakfast, later you will go for a relaxing photographic bush walk with a ranger to look for animals like Lion and spotted hyena, Wild dog, Giraffe Zebra, blue wildebeest, red lechwe, impala and elephant are all common and different bird species like Bee eaters, kingfishers, squacco herons and slaty egrets this is an interesting walk not to miss. After the bush walk you will return to the lodge and have the rest of the afternoon at the camp

Day 9: Flight to Kasane

This cool cold morning you will have hot breakfast, after breakfast you will checkout of Pom Pom camp and say good bye to Okavango Delta you will fly from Pom Pom island to Kasane town and cross the Kazungula border and enter Zimbabwe drive directly to victoria airport in time to catch your flight back home.
