Accommodation Notice: This 23 days safari is a mid range 3 star accommodation two people will be sharing a room for each night in all the countries. if you don’t want to share a room with anyone you will need to pay a single supplement fee of $1,395 us dollars on top of the safari fee. if you you pay for this safari and share a room with someone else for a couple of nights and later during the safari you change your mind then you will need to pay extra to have a single room. (1) Namibia.

Namibia, a country in southwest Africa, is distinguished by the Namib Desert along its Atlantic Ocean coast. The country is home to diverse wildlife, including a significant cheetah population. The capital, Windhoek, and coastal town Swakopmund contain German colonial-era buildings such as Windhoek’s Christuskirche, built in 1907. In the north, Etosha National Park’s salt pan draws game including rhinos and giraffes. Namibia is world famous for the highest dunes in the world at Sossusvlei and for the Etosha National Park, one of world’s greatest conservation areas. The official name of Namibia is “Republic of Namibia”.

(A) Sossusvlei 

Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan surrounded by high red dunes, located in the southern part of the Namib Desert, in the Namib-Naukluft National Park of Namibia. The name “Sossusvlei” is often used in an extended meaning to refer to the surrounding area, which is one of the major visitor attractions of Namibia. This photogenic area is famous for its large, red sand dunes, which are some of the tallest sand dunes in the world and is one of Namibia’s most visited attractions. The word Sossusvlei originates from two languages, Nama and Afrikaans. Sossusvlei is located in the Namib-Naukluft Park, a prime destination in Namibia that showcases mammoth sand dunes up to 325m in height. The gates to the park are open to the public between sunrise and sunset and the dunes can be reached after an hour drive from the Sesriem entrance gate.

(b) Swakopmund

Swakopmund is a coastal city in Namibia, west of the capital, Windhoek. Its sandy beaches face the Atlantic Ocean. Established by German colonists in 1892, the city’s colonial landmarks include the Swakopmund Lighthouse and the Mole, an old sea wall. Next to the lighthouse, the Swakopmund Museum documents Namibian history. Inland, the elegant Swakopmund Railway Station, now a hotel, also dates to the colonial era

Swakopmund is a beach resort and an example of German colonial architecture. It was founded in 1892 as the main harbor for German South West Africa.

(c) Etosha National park.

Etosha National Park is a national park in northwestern Namibia and one of the largest national parks in Africa. It was proclaimed a game reserve in March 1907 in Ordinance 88 by the Governor of German South West Africa, Friedrich von Lindequist. Etosha National Park is famous for animals like lions, elephants, leopards, giraffes, cheetahs, hyena, springbok, two kinds of zebra, eland and many more species of wildlife are found here.

(2) Zambia- Victoria falls

Victoria Falls is a waterfall on the Zambezi River in southern Africa, which provides habitat for several unique species of plants and animals. It is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe and is one of the world’s largest waterfalls, with a width of 1,708 m

The Mosi-oa-Tunya/Victoria Falls is the world’s greatest sheet of falling water and significant worldwide for its exceptional geological and geomorphological features and active land formation processes with outstanding beauty attributed to the falls i.e. the spray, mist and rainbows.

(b) Helicopter flight

A helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls are referred to as the ‘Flight of Angels’, as the main thing the David Livingstone composed after observing this Natural World Wonder in 1855 was “scenes so lovely must have been gazed upon by angels in their flight.” Experience The spectacular helicopter flight over the Victoria Falls is known as the ‘Flight of Angels’. (3)Uganda

(a) Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary Nakasonola

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is a private, non-profit, animal sanctuary in Uganda. Established in 2005 to re-introduce Southern White Rhinos in the wild, the sanctuary is the only place in the country, where one can observe these endangered creatures in the wild. Ziwa is the only place where you will be able to see rhinos in the wild. Presently the sanctuary is home to thirty two (32) southern white rhinos

(B)Murchison Falls national park

Murchison Falls National Park sits on the shore of Lake Albert, in northwest Uganda. It’s known for Murchison Falls, where the Victoria Nile River surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop. Park wildlife includes elephants and hippos, and there are chimpanzees in the Kaniyo Pabidi mahogany forest. The Lake Albert Delta is home to rare shoebill storks. There are game fish in the cascades of Karuma Falls. Murchison Falls National Park is best known, though, for one of the most powerful waterfall in the world. Every second, the equivalent of 200 bathtubs full of water is forced through a gorge less than seven paces wide. The pressure is so great that the ground trembles around it. The animals in Murchison falls national park are often seen while on a boat safari and also during game drives in the park. Such common animals often seen are Giraffes, Buffaloes, Uganda kobs, Bushbucks, Elephants, Hartebeests, Oribs, waterbucks, warthogs, hyenas mention but a few

(4)Tanzania

(a)Lake Manyara national Park 

Lake Manyara National Park is a protected area in Tanzania’s Arusha and Manyara Regions, situated between Lake Manyara and the Great Rift Valley. Lake Manyara National Park well known for the tree climbing lions, the soda ash lake that attracts thousands and pink flamingos. Apart from a spectacular setting, the park is famous for its unusual tree climbing lions and the vast elephant herds it was established to protect. The shores of the lake, encrusted with pink flamingo, attract more than 400 species of birds, many of them waterfowl or migrants.

(b)Serengeti national Park

The Serengeti ecosystem is a geographical region in Africa, spanning northern Tanzania. The protected area within the region includes approximately 30,000 km² of land, including the Serengeti National Park and several game reserves. In a nutshell, Serengeti National Park in Tanzania is famous for being the location of the Great Wildlife Migration , which sees two million wildebeests, zebras and antelopes stretched across its plains. It’s also an extremely large and wild game park, and is home to the Big Five

(c)Ngorongoro crater

World’s largest inactive, intact & unfilled volcanic caldera, home to ample wildlife & bird species. Of the hundreds of calderas around the world, Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken one. A home to Elephants, elands, hartebeests, and the endangered rhinos are among the residents of the crater. There are also resident zebras and wildebeests in the crater that do not take part in the annual migration. Hippos are found in the permanent fresh water pools and the swamps in the crater.

COVID 19 Rule -Namibia

A Negative covid Pcr test certificate and yellow fever card   for incoming travelers must present them to the airport health department at Hosea Kutako International Airport Namibia.

Note All travelers arriving in Namibia are required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test result from their country of departure that is not older than 7 days.  If the traveler meets this requirement, no quarantine or additional testing is required.

Any traveler arriving with a negative result that is older than 7 days will be placed in quarantine and tested for COVID-19 on the same day at their own cost and will only be released if the results of this test return negative.

Note: For international flights: when booking for flights to come on this safari kindly book flights  (1) Inbound flight to Hosea Kutako International Airport- Namibia (flying into Namibia to begin your this 25 days safari).

               (2) outbound flight at  Kilimanjaro International Airport back to your home country at the and of your 25-day safari.)

Accommodation NOTE: any Accommodation Alteration during the safari preparations will be made by Xavier safaris, if the guest books the safari and the desired acommodation is full or is affected by natural disasters. Xavier safaris has the right to right to change the accommodation to a same standard accommodation in the same area. This change shall   be communicated to the guest.

Other Vaccinations:

All Travelers must have a Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required for all travelers from 1 year of age and above. The vaccination requirement is imposed by all African  countries for protection against Yellow Fever since the principal mosquito vector Aedes aegypti is present in the African territory.

Day2: 13th August 2024; Transfer  to Sesriem Sossusvlei (Namib Desert)

This morning after the sunrise break fast you will check out of Town Lodge Windhoek and get ready to a beginning of a spectacular holiday journey as you will proceed on a scenic drive road via beautiful landscapes and mountain views of Naukluft mountain range to reach Sesriem area where you will stay for a night. The rest of the afternoon is at leisure. Dinner at the hotel

Final Destination: Sesriem Sossusvlei

Day3: 14th August 2024;Transfer from Sossusvlei to Swakopmund

This morning we rise very early in the morning before sunrise to visit the spectacular dunes at Sossusvlei, reputedly the highest sand dunes in the world. If you’re feeling energetic you can climb to the top before returning to your lodge for a well-deserved rest! Don’t forget your camera the scenery is truly extraordinary.

After lunch en-route, we are travel north-west to the seaside town of Walvis Bay and Swakopmund located on the Skeleton Coast. Leaving the dune fields far behind us we are soon back into the mountain desert. We cross the Tropic of Capricorn and traverse both the Gaub and the Kuiseb pass, driving down to the dry river bed at the bottom of the canyon before climbing up the other side, watching the spectacular desert landscape unfold before us. From the mountains we cross the desolate “Namib gravel plains” before reaching the coastal sand dunes at the port town of Walvis Bay. We will stop for a picnic lunch beside the ocean and there will be time to see the flamingos and other bird life in the Walvis Bay lagoon before continuing the now short drive into Swakopmund.

Final destination: Swakopmund

Day4: 15th August 2024;  Swakopmund (day of activities)

Today after breakfast we will have a city tour of swakopmund. we will  visit an open-air curio market, museum and the Namibian National Marine Aquarium is located in Swakopmund. Alternatively, there are various optional activities( not included in the itinerary price) that can be arranged at an extra fee. These include airplane and micro-light flights over the desert, scenic drives, fishing trips (both from the beach or in a boat), four-wheel motorcycle (quad bike) trips into the desert and over the sand dunes around Swakopmund, sand boarding trips (also in the dunes), skydiving, surfing, bird-watching and many other activities are available. Your tour guide will discuss all the possible options with you before you reach Swakopmund and will offer to make bookings in advance of your arrival.

Day: 5 16th August 2024; Transfer from Swakopmund to Etosha National Park.

We leave the coastal town early in the morning after breakfast  and head to Etosha National Park, Etosha is home to 4 of the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, leopard and lion) as well as a vast quantity of game and birdlife. You will spend 3 nights in bungalows inside the park at the rest camps which all have flood lit waterholes for excellent night time game viewing.  Upon arrival to the park you will head to the lodge for lunch, after lunch you will have an evening game drive to search for the mammals Etosha National Park hosts include lionleopard, elephant, rhino, giraffe, wildebeest, cheetah, hyena, mountain and plains zebra, springbok, kudu, gemsbok and eland. Among the smaller species you will find jackal, bat-eared fox, warthog, honey badger and ground squirrel.

Final destination: Etosha National Park

Day6: 17th August 2024; Full day game drive- Etosha

Today we will spend most of the day searching for animals, as we make our way through the game reserve towards Namutoni, our next rest camp. We will visit a number of waterholes and stop to view the Etosha Pan, also known as the “place of dry water”. This extensive, flat depression is about 5,000 km2 and a place of shimmering mirages. Seeing large herds of game in this setting is a unique experience. We may stop at Halali (the middle camp) to have lunch, before we continue on to Namutoni At Namutoni, we will be able to relax at the swimming pool or waterhole before a late afternoon game drive. The game viewing here is usually excellent, with close-up views of springboks, zebras, impalas, giraffes, gemsboks and plenty of birds. We may also see elephants and lions. In the evening we can enjoy a glass of wine and fabulous sunset from the tower of the old Namibian German fort before dinner.

Day 7: 18th August 2024; Etosha National Park (Wildlife)

We travel along the vast salt pan, stopping at various waterholes and game viewing spots along the way in the park. As you continue to your overnight stop you’re certain to see plenty of wildlife and eerily beautiful scenery.

Day8:19th August 2024; Transfer windhoek

This morning you will have breakfast and check out of  the lodge, and your driver Guide will take for an early morning game drive with packed lunch, enjoy your lunch before  exiting the park. After early lunch transfer to Windhoek on a good road and we have time to stop in Okahandja town, home to Namibia’s largest woodcarving market. The stalls are operated on a co-operative basis by the local community and the market is a perfect place to do last minute shopping for truly Namibian souvenirs. We aim to arrive back in the Capital in the late afternoon to Town lodge hotel for refreshing, dinner and a good night sleep.

Day 9: 20th August 2024;  Transfer  Victoria Falls- (Zambia), 

This morning after sunrise breakfast you will checkout from Town Lodge Windhoek

and your driver guide will transfer you to Namibia’s international airport called Hosea Kutako International Airport  to catch your flight to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport  Zambia. Upon arrival to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport, your driver  will  drive you to your hotel where you will have lunch. Later in the afternoon  you will  go for a sunset boat cruise on River Zambezi you will be able to see hippopotamus, crocodiles, Elephants and birds like African skimmer, Collared palm-thrush, Goliath heron, Lanner falcon, Long-toed lapwing.

Day 10: 21st August 2024; helicopter tour over Victoria falls

This morning after break fast your guide will pick you up and transfer you to Zimbabwe  for an adventure of a nature walk to view the victoria falls hike to view the falls from different angles and after the hike you will  go for the flight of Angles to flying above Victoria falls to view the falls from above. This thrilling helicopter ride over Victoria Falls. You’ll experience a bird’s eye view of one of the world’s seven natural wonders. In the afternoon you will transfer back to your lodge in Zambia.

Day11:22nd August 2024;  MOSI OA TUNYA NATIONAL PARK

This morning you will have to go for a morning nature through tall riverine forest with palm trees, miombo woodland and grassland with plenty of birds, and animals including Angolan giraffe, Burchell’s zebra, warthog, sable, Cape buffalo, impala and other antelope to see the Big 5 in Victoria Falls.in the afternoon you will have a game drive to search for animals including Angolan giraffe, Burchell’s zebra, warthog, sable, Cape buffalo, impala and other antelope Enjoy a Victoria Falls Game.

Day12: 23rd August 2024; Transfer to Entebbe- Uganda

This morning after break fast you will check out of the Green tree lodge and you will say good bye to victoria falls, your driver guide will pick you from your hotel in victoria falls and drive you to Harry Mwanga Nkumbula International Airport catch your flight to Entebbe Uganda. Upon arrival to entebbe international airport ,your driver guide will be waiting to receive you and drive you to the Boma guest house Entebbe for dinner and over night.

Day13: 24th August 2024; Transfer Ziwa rhino sanctuary.

This morning you will have breakfast. After breakfast your driver guide will drive you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, home to more than 32Southern white rhinos, as well as 20 other species of wildlife. The Rhinos roam freely on 3500 acres of land, and are closely monitored 24 hours everyday to protect them from poaching. On arriving at the sanctuary you will be introduced to the sanctuary ranger guide who will brief you about the sanctuary and later start rhino trekking on foot Track and view the rhinos which usually involves a short drive followed by 1.5 – 2 hours nature walk  with a ranger. dressed in Closed shoes, long trousers and insect repellent are strongly recommended. Enjoy lunch at the rhino restaurant after rhino tracking today afternoon after lunch you will rest and by 6pm you will have  early dinner and after dinner, you will go on  a night nature bush walk  introducing to you to the night sounds and sensations you did not know existed and you might come across aardvark, porcupine, caracal, civet cat and a few bird species like Owls, night jars and many more! This is an experience you cannot exclude from your activities on the sanctuary.

This morning you will have morning coffee then  your guide will take you to the swamp to catch your private canoe ride to go through the mash swamp in search search shoebill stork which is One of the most sought after birds to be seen in Uganda.. This is one of the only places that you are almost always guaranteed to see the is kind of stork. After shoebill trek go for  breakfast  at the lodge. After  breakfast, you will checkout of Amuka safari lodge and your driver guide will transfer you to Murchison falls national park. Best known for elephants, Giraffes, hippopotamus, Buffalos, Oribi, Jackson hartebeest lions, leopard and over 250 species of birds and  for the best most powerful waterfall in the world every second, the equivalent of 200 bathtubs full of water is forced through a gorge less than seven paces wide. The pressure is so great that the ground trembles

Day15: 26th August 2024 Murchison falls morning delta boat cruise and afternoon game drive

This morning after breakfast your driver guide  will drive you to the pier to  board the delta boat cruise buffaloes, lions, oribi, Jackson hartebeest, elephants, kobs, giraffes that come close to the Nile to quench their  thirst , after  morning delta boat you will have lunch then later after lunch you will have a game drive at 3 pm to 5:30 pm.

Final Destination: Murchison falls National Park

DAY16:27th August 2024;Transfer to Entebbe

This morning you will pack your luggage, have breakfast and later your guide will drive you to Entebbe  where you will have your last night in Uganda.

ACCOMMODATION: Boma guest house Entebbe

Activity: Transfer to entebbe town

 

Day 17:28th August 2024; flight to kilimanjaro-Tanzania

This morning you will wake up to a beautiful sunrise and have your breakfast, after breakfast your driver guide will transfer you to entebbe airport to check in for your flight to kilimanjaro-Tanzania, the flight is usually one hour nonstop. upon arrival to kilimanjaro airport- Tanzania, your driver guide will be waiting to receive you and drive you to the accommodation located in karatu for our chosen accommodation for Dinner and  overnight rest to get ready for your next day adventure

Final destination: Karatu town Tanzania.

Day 18: 29th August 2024; drive at lake Manyara national park

This morning after your sunrise breakfast your safari guide will be right at the front of your hotel ready to pick you and drive to  Lake Manyara National Park with  picnic lunch boxes  to explorer  Lake Manyara National Park is known for flocks of thousands of flamingos that feed along the edge of the lake in the wet season. It is also well known for its lion tree climbing and other species of birds.

Day 19: 30th August 2024;  Serengeti National Park

Today morning after breakfast At 07:30 am your driver guide will be at your camp ready to start your trip to the famous park Serengeti National Park a home to  ‘wildebeests, lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and black rhino, giraffe, Grant’s gazelle, impala, kongoni, topi and eland.

Final destination: Serengeti National park

Accommodation: Kati Kati tented lodge

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner

Drinks: bottled drinking water,  alcoholic drinks not included

ACTIVITY: Transfer to Serengeti National Park afternoon game drive

Day20; 31st August 2024; Serengeti National Park-full day game drive.

This morning after breakfast At 07:00 am your driver guide will be at your loadge ready to take you for a full day game in Serengeti National Park to look out for animals like Wildebeests, lions, leopard, elephants, buffaloes and black rhino, giraffe, Grant’s gazelle, impala, kongoni, topi and eland. late afternoon you will return to the lodge for dinner and a good night sleep.

Final destination: Serengeti.

Day 21: 1st September 2024; Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After breakfast, we will start our day with a morning game drive in Serengeti then later take a short pleasant drive to Ngorongoro Conservation area, The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is an extensive highland area along the eastern arm of the Rift Valley, with the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater as its focal point. Ngorongoro was established to conserve wildlife and other natural resources. It also safeguards the interests of indigenous people and promotes tourism.

Ngorongoro crater which has a population of around 120 lions with well defines territories, 15,000 wildebeest, 9000 zebras, 400 hyenas and around 50 black rhinos. Many wildebeest and other herd animals are resident benefiting from the many sources of year-round waters and are boosted by some migrators in season. Buffalos, Thomson’s gazelle and Eland are also present in numbers, Hippos can be found in pools and swampland and highland birds is colorful and plentiful around the waters. Flamingos can be often been seen in Lake Magadi, which occupies part of the crater floor and in  the evening drive to the lodge for evening leisure and overnight.

Day 22: 2nd September 2024;morning game drive Ngorongoro Crater

Wake up early to freshen up, have hot break fast. After breakfast your driver guide will take you to the floor of Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive to search for animals like Elephants, elands, hartebeests, and the endangered rhinos after the morning  game drive your driver guide will transfer you back to Karatu.

Final Destination: Karatu

Day 23: 3rd September 2024; Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport

Depending on your out-bound flight and the out bound Airport, you will decide the time for your breakfast a night before your out bound flight, your driver guide will be waiting to transfer you to Kilimanjaro airport to check-in and say good by to Tanzania.

This marks the end of 24 nights, 25 days adventure from Namibia, to Zambia, and then to Uganda and Tanzania.
